I wanted to post this on Memorial Day, but it took a little longer to make this quilt than I expected. Better late than never. We're participating in the Quilts of Valor program (http://www.qovf.org/index.html), which donates quilts to wounded war vets. We have three lines of official Quilts of Valor fabrics, and we have kits for all of them, as well as for another patriotic line. If you buy the materials to make a QOV quilt, we'll ring it up on a separate receipt. If you finish the quilt, bring it in to donate it, and bring your receipt, we will refund 40% of what you originally paid. This is one way to honor and thank our servicemen and women.
I made a sample of one of the kits, and it will be donated. I really, really like it. It's also my first ever quilt top with actual pieced blocks in it! Here it is:
