Wool - perfect for winter projects

Now that it's begun getting cold outside, I think that one of the perfect things to work with is wool. It's warm, soft, snuggly, and just so nice to work with. Here are some pictures of different project ideas we have in the store, as well as our fun wool section:

This pattern is called "O, Holy Night":

This is just a part of our wool section. It's fun even just to look at it.

Here are some other cute pattern ideas:

This is a whole quilt made of cotton with wool snowmen. It would make a great cuddly winter project. We have kits available in the full size quilt, as well as a mini quilt.

Laurel Burch Gifts

If you like Laurel Burch's designs, you just might really like these items (or maybe a friend on your Christmas list would). We have socks, coin purses, and clutches decorated with her animals! There are also a couple of other clutches in these pictures. All of these are on a four-sided spinny pillar in the front of the store, and there are lovely batik rayon scarves hanging on all four sides as well!

Fiona Tuffet and the Wacky Woolies

Fiona came up for another visit! She really liked the Wacky Woolies in our gift section. She felt like she fit right in with all those other cute sheep.
Wouldn't these sheep would make adorable presents for a knitter or someone who works with wool? The little "puff-ball" sheep could even be part of a nativity scene!

Quilts of Valor

The Quilts of Valor Club is pleased to announce that they have completed 3 quilts! These quilts will be sent along with 4 others - 3 that were donated by customers and 1 that was a store sample, to the Michigan Quilts of Valor Regional Co-ordinator for distribution to Michigan veterans and servicemen.  The current requests outnumber the available quilts by 2 to 1!  Please check out http://www.qovf.org/content/basic-qov-requirements.html for the guidelines of making and donating a quilt.  Delphine's is a collection point for the quilts. The shop has bins of gently used quilt and sewing magazines in the classroom that we ask a $1.00 donation for to help fund the cost of fabrics and shipping for the Quilts of Valor program.

If you noticed that we said we're sending seven quilts, but there are only six quilts pictured, that's because this one has a twin.
