Fiona Tuffet's Travels - Arthur's Seat and Northern Ireland

Fiona finally climbed to the top of Arthur's Seat! Or maybe that's Mars she's on; it's a little hard to tell in this picture.

Now it's clearer that she's on top of Arthur's Seat.

Views on the way up:

Who knew? The oldest pub in Scotland is right near Arthur's Seat. Established in 1360, this is the Sheep Heid Inn. Fiona just had to get a picture by it.

...and then, a few days later, it was off to northern Ireland! Fiona found a whole flock of sheep to hang out with in the Belfast airport. Funnily, we sell several of these items in our shop! Can you spot Fiona in the pictures?

Then she went and saw the grounds at Mount Stewart, an old, stately house (or mansion may be a better word).

Can you find Fiona in the picture of the harp?

Fiona met a dodo.

Up on the northern coast of Ireland, near Portstewart.

Checker Distributors' Open House

Delphine, Cathy, and Jeannine had a great time at Checker Distributors' Open House (Maumee, Ohio) for Checker's wholesale customers! They got to meet 20+ designers and see their samples and demos. Among those were a talk by Marti Michell and another by the inventor of Soft & Stable. Other fun things were shopping off the rack for bolts, and seeing lots and lots of quilts hanging throughout the warehouse, even on the loading dock! They even won a Door Prize - a Tote full of items that Delphine plans to use as door prizes for our customers sometime! She also found a great pattern for a Cat in the Hat panel that we will be kitting soon.

New Christmas Fabrics!

We have some wonderful Fall and Christmas fabrics that have recently come in! Here's a small sampling of the latest ones to come in:

First up, this is Autumn Splendor by Clothworks:

From Robert Kaufman, this is Shades of the Season 6, Fall Metallics:

This is probably one of the easiest log cabins out there! From SPX , this is "Santa's Journy". The logs are outlined with gold metallic and measure approximately 4 inches across.

This fun line is from Jennifer Jangles for In the Beginning Fabrics and is called "It's Christmas".

Robert Kaufman did it again; they've produced another stunning Christmas line. These are panels from Winter's Grandeur, which we have in two colorways with coordinates.

Fiona Tuffet - Arthur's Seat

Fiona got to go to Holyrood Park in Edinburgh, Scotland a little while ago! That's Arthur's Seat in the background. She still hasn't gotten to climb Arthur's Seat, but is planning on doing that sometime soon:)

In the next picture, those are the Salisbury Crags on the right, and a bit of Edinburgh in the center.
