QUILT CRUIZINE 2012

Monday was a wonderful day on the Quilt Cruizine!!  Absolutely gorgeous weather and lovely women who spent the day shopping with different specials at each shop, cruising in a super coach, and eating scrumptious food at every stop!!  Delphine's was the "home" shop for 42 women and after a great breakfast, we watched Delphine make these amazing little flowers using Clover's Kanzashi flower maker.  So easy and so is their new yo-yo maker!!

Off to The Quilt House in Indian River for more shopping, inspecting some lovely quilts, both inside and out on the fence, a demo of a 10-minute block, and, of course, more food - lunch!  Great fun!!

Third stop was Hearts to Holly in Charlevoix where we ate homemade soft pretzels and more shopping.  We watched how those yo-yos went together and how to needle punch wool roving.  Interesting!!

Finally we arrived at Cousin's Quilt Shop in Bellaire for more shopping, dinner (boy were we hungry after all that shopping ), and we were taught how to make little wool flower pins to take home.

Tired but happy we were back at Delphine's for a yummy dessert and anything else we needed to purchase.  What a great day!!  ( FYI, each shop had their own bus which made the rounds like we did).

Here's our Quilt Diva Kathy who kept us on schedule
and handed out great door prizes!
Keep your calendars open for next year's cruise. You won't want to miss it !
