You may have read about Sister's Choice in our newsletter, and maybe even got a chance to see a little bit of it during last year's Anniversary Celebration. Now, you can see the entire performance at a great venue! Below is all of the info about the upcoming show, copied from the latest shop newsletter. Future performances will also be announced as they draw near.
Thursday, April 10, 7pm - this promises to be a great evening of inspiration!!
The Backstreet Quilt Shop, located at 110 E Huron Ave in Bad Axe, Michigan is proud to present Sisters’ Choice. Sister's Choice is a Trunk Show of Quilts set to Music, with over 50 quilts and 11 songs. Delphine Ren-Miller and AnnMarie Rowland have been “sisters by choice” for nearly 20 years.
Delphine, an award winning quilter, designer and shop owner will be presenting a selection of her favorite quilts from among the 300 she has made or collected over the past 30 years. The quilts range in age from a Jacob's Ladder Quilt made in the 1860s to quilts made by Delphine Ren-Miller in the past 30 years. The quilts encompass everything from "Amish" Miniatures to a King Sized, hand quilted Lone Star surrounded by smaller Lone Stars!
AnnMarie is a singer song-writer. Ann Marie Rowland is a songwriter with a Folk style appeal. Several of the songs were written by Ann, whose songs reflect her life-long love of quilts. She will take you back to the era of riding in a wagon to church or sitting around a quilting frame with fellow quilters.
Together they bring us color, pattern, and story; quilted together as “Sisters’ Choice.” Join us for this wonderful evening of inspiration and fellowship.
Cost is $5.00 per person at the door. RSVP is requested by calling the store at 989-375-4620.
Please come out and join us for an evening of inspiration both musically, through the art of storytelling and through the Quilts that speak of days gone by warming not only the body but the soul.
