Pincushion Kits!

Remember this cute little sheep pincushion I made? Well, we just got in a whole bunch of other adorable pincushions from Just Another Button Company! These kits really are great because they have absolutely everything you need except for needle and thread and, in some cases, a little bit of glue. And, like I said, they're adorable.

The kits are not inexpensive, but they are worth every penny. All  the buttons are handmade in the USA, in Illinois, and all the kits are assembled there as well. It's a great way to support a small American business, and their products are great!


Mom just finished making a sample of the "Celebration Cupcake" kit. It's topped with chocolate chips, whipped cream, and a strawberry. It almost looks good enough to eat!

 There are also kits for "Button Buddy" pincushions. These are super simple and quick to make. You just need to sew a couple of buttons onto a felt ball. I just finished a sample of "Charlie Chick".

New Fabrics

These are some very pretty lines from Moda that have recently come in. This first one is "Audra's Iris Garden". We have charm packs, layer cakes, and jelly rolls for this one!

This next one is "La Belle Fleur", and we also have charm packs and jelly rolls for this one.

Last is "Paris Flea Market". We have jelly rolls, layer cakes, charm packs, a fat quarter pack, and an extra wide bolt (the last pink/red one on the right of the picture; it's almost like tapestry fabric)!

Embroidery Envelope Class

On Saturday, April 27th and May 25th, Jeannine Wambold will be teaching a class in making this adorable sewing envelope! It's a two day class and meets from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm both Saturdays. The class fee is $30 plus supplies.

Jeannine uses her envelope a lot and always receives compliments on it. It's made from a pattern designed by Crabapple Hill Studio. Made completely from felted wool, it has a scissor holder, pen pocket, pincushion, heart-shaped double pocket, and removable needle case. It's decorated with wool applique and lovely embroidery stitches plus beads and buttons! This is a great opportunity to learn about working with wool, and to learn some great embroidery stitches!

Ten Little Things

We have a kit available for making a soft book! This is really a great book. It's large, soft, has cute pictures, and has several pages of chalkboard fabric. 

Because of all the supplies required (zipper, grommets, chalkboard fabric, etc.), the price of the kit adds up to a value of $70.99 value, but we are offering it for for $64.99! There are two kits that have the binding pre-made, and those are an $87.99  value, but being offered for $79.99.

In addition, one 36 x 58 package of Inn Control, or your choice of interfacing is required.

These are some lovely spring fabrics we just recently got in:
